jandroid — developer manual
NAME
jandroid — mobile developer; recovering systems administrator
SYNOPSIS
jandroid [--flutter | --android] [--self-hosted] [--on-call] [project ...]
DESCRIPTION
Mobile developer with more than ten years in Flutter and native Android, currently building apps for large clients in energy and industry.
Before any of that, eight years as a systems administrator: networks, servers, monitoring, the pager. That is not filler on a CV. It is the reason the tools listed under FILES behave the way people who actually run servers expect them to, and why they do not ask you to create an account to look at your own machine.
Curious programmer, and fond of things done right. Creates, breaks and rebuilds until everything runs smooth.
OPTIONS
- --flutter
- Cross-platform apps. Architecture, state management, CI/CD. (2021–present)
- --android
- Native Android, Java and Kotlin. Banking, energy, retail, for clients across northern Europe. (2013–2021)
- --self-hosted
- Tools for people who run their own hardware. Talks to the API your server already exposes; installs nothing it does not have to.
- --on-call
- Eight years on the other side of the alert. Informs every default in everything below. (2004–2012)
FILES
- /umanager
- U-Manager — an Unraid server from your phone: dashboard, Docker, virtual machines, shares, files, storage, UPS and notifications. The app I wanted back when the one on call was me. Free core app, paid add-ons, no account, no telemetry.
- /slot02
- Not yet installed.
- /slot03
- Not yet installed.
